Lions Academy

Lions Martial Arts Academy is wholly contained within, owned by, and governed by Lions Federation.  The Academy defines and establishes the curriculum of the Federation.

The Academy is the training arm of Lions, while the Federation is the marketing and governance arm.   The Academy is the training center for the instructors that the Federation provides to other member schools and groups.

The Academy's martial arts curriculum can be best described as "old-school" Taekwondo, but with the WTF Taeguek forms.  Our curriculum administrator and chief instructor for all martial arts training is Korean Grandmaster Yong Woo Kim (GM Kim is also the Executive Advisor for the Federation).

Our curriculum advisor/administrator for all medically-related sports science training is Dr. Darren Jenkins.  This includes topics such as kinesiology, physiology, exercise injuries and treatment, first aid, CPR, human nutrition and health.  Also, our medic personnel for tournaments comes from this branch.

Lions Academy is a registered Qualified Provider for the Utah Fits All Scholarship program.  You can use your scholarship funds to pay your After-School expenses for our classes held at Bountiful Baby!
