The "Young Lions" program is meant for pre-high school children. Belts in the "Young Lions" program are awarded at exactly twice the rate as the "Lions" program. That also means when a child changes from "Young Lions" to "Lions", their belt is adjusted to reflect the adult program instead of the children's program.
For the "Young Lions" program, all of the things in the "Introduction" area of the adult program are expected of the kids. This includes "Class Etiquette", "Attention", "Beginning and Ending Class", all of which must be observed by the kids as well as by the adults. Only the requirements for belt testing are different for the Young Lions (kids).
